 The Caring Teacher Awards aims to pay tribute to teachers who show care and concern for the holistic development of their students, and go the extra mile to ensure their students grow up to be confident and independent learners.

While demonstration of good teaching practices and the ability to deliver excellent examination results are part of the selection criteria, the emphasis of the wards is on the humanistic qualities of the teaching profession.

Closing date for the Nomination for 2014 is 6 August 2014.

7 July 2014, Holiday in Lieu of Youth Day (6 July 2014)

 Dear parents, please be informed that Monday, 7 July 2014 is a school holiday in lieu of Youth Day which falls on Sunday, 6 July 201. We wish a wonderful Youth Day to all!


1 July 2014,  National Golf Inter-Primary School Championship

We would like to congratulate, Rachel Maswi and Mikaela Maswi in their achievement in the National Golf Inter-Primary School Championship held in Marina Bay Golf Course. Rachel Maswi from Excellence 7 clinched the 1st Place in the Overall Girls Individual Division. In the Team division, PTPS has secured the 2nd Runner-Up Place behind Marymount Covenant and Methodist Girls' School at the National level. Well done girls! 

 



 

 

3rd July 2014, Temperature-Taking Exercise

 The students went through the second temperature-taking exercise for the year today. Learning to take their own temperature, cleaning and drying their thermometer form part of the exercise which looks into instilling social responsibility in the students.

2014 Hosting of Hong Kong Chi Lin Buddhist Primary School

On 14th to 16th April, our school hosted Chi Lin Buddhist Primary School for our Internationalization Program. During their visit, the Hong Kong students were paired up with buddies and they followed them to their classes to experience the learning environment in Pei Tong. On the last day, we went to the S.E.A Aquarium at Resort World Sentosa. It was a memorable learning journey for the students had great fun learning about the underwater ecosystem. It was indeed a fruitful exchange program, for the students of both countries got to learn more about each other's culture and many friendships were made.

For International Friendship Day this year, it was celebrated over a week with students participating in various booths mended by the Parent Support Group (PSG) for active recess. Students made toys out of pomelo skin, made friendship bands and wrote tiny notes to students of different nationalities. To read more, click here

Congratulations to our outstanding Chinese Orchestra members!



Five of our Chinese Orchestra members went through the tough audition last year and got selected into the Music Talent Management Programme organised by MOE. Our members have completed and graduated the 1-year programme.
