Student Leadership Framework

Tier 1: Class-based Leaders

Tier 2: Specialist Leaders

Students participate in a leadership team-building activity, working together to navigate a floor challenge that develops communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Tier 3: EXCO

Tier 3 is the highest level of leadership where elected P5 Tier 2 Student Leaders form the Student Leadership EXCO (Executive Committee). The Student Leadership EXCO heads their respective leadership groups, and they are provided opportunities to lead other Student Leaders and the school by working alongside each other and teachers to organise school events, lead school initiatives, promote causes, and contribute to the community/society. There is a vigorous election process to appoint the most suitable student leaders for the EXCO team.

Upstanders take the lead during FTGP lessons by sharing the importance of positive peer influence, encouraging classmates to support one another, make responsible choices, and stand up against negative behaviour. Through these presentations, students develop confidence, empathy, and leadership while fostering a caring and inclusive school community.

Prefects take the lead in promoting student well-being by planning and producing videos that share practical tips for managing exam stress. Through this initiative, they encourage positive coping strategies, build resilience, and remind their peers to maintain a healthy balance while preparing for examinations.
